When did you start with TLP? - September 2022

What are you passionate about when it comes to creating change in your community? - I am passionate about helping others to improve their digital skills, alleviating their fears, and building their confidence to better themselves and their life situation. Everyone has the power to change their situation, one day at a time. Seeing the “light bulb” go off when I’m teaching a difficult concept is so rewarding and makes everything worthwhile.

What is your greatest achievement? - I am extremely proud of my children and the adults they have become. They make me a better person. My daughter shares my passion for teaching and my son shares my passion for digital technology. I am also very proud that I have been teaching continuously since I graduated.

Advice to a current or prospective learner - Never stop dreaming, never stop believing, never give up, never stop trying, and never stop learning. As Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
